Establishing Our Roots

Our journey began in 1983, driven by a clear vision to bring innovation and progress to the cork industry. The early years were shaped by both challenge and opportunity, as we focused on building a strong and sustainable foundation for the future.

A significant milestone followed in 1996, when we proudly became members of CTCOR, reaffirming our long-term commitment to research, development, and continuous improvement within the cork industry.

A Commitment to Excellence

As our business evolved, so did our dedication to quality and performance. In 2003, we embraced the rigorous testing protocols introduced by the newly established SACC, setting higher standards across our operations.

This commitment was further strengthened in 2007, when we achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification, reflecting our focus on quality management systems and consistent operational excellence.

In 2008, we relocated to new premises in Brackenfell, a strategic move that supported operational growth and created new opportunities for expansion.

Milestones and Celebrations

By 2009, we had reached a proud milestone, celebrating 25 years of growth and achievement. Continued progress within the industry saw us recognised as a Level 4 contributor in B-BBEE in 2010. In 2013, we marked our pearl anniversary — 30 years of resilience, progress, and a growing legacy of excellence. This journey was further validated in 2014 with BRCGS certification for packaging and packaging materials.

Diversification, Innovation and Growth

Responding to the evolving needs of the industry, 2017 marked the launch of our dedicated Spirits division, enabling us to deliver specialised solutions tailored to this market segment.

This expansion led to the acquisition of a new warehouse in Paarl in 2018, alongside continued investment in operational upgrades, including the implementation of an ERP system, expanded delivery capacity, and the development of strategic partnerships with key suppliers.

Momentum continued in 2019 with the acquisition of a second site in Paarl, adjacent to the original facility. This allowed us to consolidate operations and relocate fully from Brackenfell to our larger Paarl premises.

Continued Expansion

Our growth trajectory continued unabated in 2019 with the acquisition of a second site in Paarl, adjacent to our initial purchase in 2018. This strategic expansion reflected our commitment to meeting the rising demands of the industry.

In 2021, a significant move from Brackenfell to a larger facility in Paarl showcased our dedication to efficiency and progress. The investment in more delivery vehicles and the achievement of Level ONE contributor status in B-BBEE underscored our continuous commitment to excellence.

Reflecting on the Journey

As we reflect on our journey, we take pride in the tapestry of experiences, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped us. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and service remains unwavering. With gratitude for the past and anticipation for the future, we embark on the next chapter of our story, guided by the principles that have defined us since our inception in 1983.

Where We Are Today

We continue to invest in our infrastructure and capabilities to support long-term growth. Key developments include the introduction of screw cap overprinting, the establishment of a dedicated Oenological department, and the expansion of our undercover warehousing to 5,000 square metres.

Achieving Level One B-BBEE contributor status reflects our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and responsible growth. Together, these advancements enable us to offer fully integrated, reliable solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.

With more than 40 years of experience, we are proud to be a trusted partner in the cork and packaging industry. Built on quality, innovation, and enduring relationships, we work closely with world-renowned suppliers to ensure access to leading products, shared expertise, and global best practice.
